Smash Defense is an action game that mixes defence and baseball elements in a fairly unusual way. You don't play baseball on a field, but rather strike the ball with a bat at hordes of flying creatures who are advancing endlessly. Your job is to keep them from penetrating your defences and to protect your base.
There's several waves of foes in each level, with the last wave possibly being a boss. Once you hit the ball it will return, thus you need to move and choose your position well to keep hitting. The more creatures there are, the more dangerous it is to stay in one place, since you could easily get trapped.
The cool thing about Smash Defence is that it has an upgrading system. You can beat back waves of attacks to earn skills like multi-directional shooting, extra health, or special effects. The ball can be enhanced to have effects such as fire, electricity and explosions to do more damage.

Movement and Positioning
You can manoeuvre your character with WASD, arrow keys or mouse. Watch the direction of monster spawns and get out of the way before they come too near.
Beating the ball at Monsters
Aim the ball at the target and time your swing. A good hit can take down numerous adversaries when they clump together.
Power increase
Choose an upgrade that fits the circumstances after each wave. Skills that boost damage, add extra balls, or create elemental effects can make it easier to deal with later stages.
Always move to prevent getting trapped by monsters.
Watch the ball go. Hit it.
First, take care of any enemy approaching your walls.
When the number of enemies goes up, use the area-of-effect upgrades.
Just don't go attacking, and remember to check your basic health.
Smash Defence is a new take on the tower defence genre with short, rapid stages and innovative ball-handling features.
